Science is a human experience.

Citizens need the opportunity to meet the people who work at environmental field stations and understand the work they do. What happens during the scientific process? What are the tasks of fieldwork? Who are the people who do that work? Why do they do it?

Using photo portraits and individual interviews, Humans of Tyson offers an informal community profile of Tyson Research Center, the environmental field station of Washington University in St. Louis. We hope you enjoy meeting us and learning about our scientific work.
