SEEDS STL leaders chosen to attend national meeting

Nov 28, 2022

Sam Ko and Dev Mukundan had all expenses covered to attend the SEEDS leadership meeting held at the Arizona Institute for Resilient Environments & Societies (AIRES). Sponsored by Tyson, SEEDS STL is the St. Louis chapter of the Ecological Society of America’s Strategies for Ecology Education, Diversity, and Sustainability Program.

From SEEDS National: “On November 16-20, 2022 the SEEDS Program hosted its 12th SEEDS Leadership Meeting at AIRES and University of Arizona in Tucson. We had 24 amazing SEEDS leaders from all over the US and other partner societies participate in this event. The theme of the meeting was Social-Ecological Resilience: studying the link between ecosystems and society. Some of the highlights include: Hosting the meeting at a LEED Certified Platinum building, learning about the impact of our science in our communities, visiting the Desert Lab and learning about the history of ecology, and getting to see these 24 amazing participants become a part of our SEEDS family.”
