TERAs share Tyson bat research at Owl-o-Ween

Oct 30, 2021

TERA teens took Tyson bat research next door for the World Bird Sanctuary’s Owl-o-Ween event over Halloween weekend. Kylee Kest (Clayton High School ‘22) and Maura Collins (Parkway West High School ‘22) helped families with a spooky craft and explained what we know about populations of bat species in the Mincke Quarry cave at Tyson. Kylee worked with the Wildlife Monitoring team over the summer and has presented findings from her bat census project at the WashU Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium.
