Staff scientist presents on ticks and tick-borne diseases to Missouri Master Naturalists

Nov 13, 2018

Dr. Solny Adalsteinsson, Tyson staff scientist, gave a presentation to the Missouri Master Naturalist Confluence Chapter about ticks and tick-borne diseases in Missouri. Members of the MO Master Naturalist program frequently work and/or volunteer outdoors, and they had lots of questions and personal experiences to share about their interactions with ticks. In her talk, Dr. Adalsteinsson described the most common human-biting ticks locally and how to prevent tick-borne diseases; she had a lot of fun talking to the whole group!
