Outreach for Students K-12
Institutional outreach activities that use Tyson as part of their programs include:
- High School Internships - NSF-funded collaboration between Tyson and the Shaw Nature Reserve
- Life Sciences for a Global Community - NSF-funded institute for biology teachers
- The Bernard Harris Foundation Summer Science Camp
- The St. Louis Center for Inquiry in Science Teaching and Learning
- Numerous groups from local schools and well as the general public have come to Tyson to participate in research and resource management projects
