Tyson offers research support for graduate students, undergraduates, and high school students.
Small Grants for Graduate Student Research - Modest research funds are available for graduate student research that is related to Tyson’s mission. For information on the small grants program, please contact Kim Medley (Kim.Medley[at]wustl.edu).
Undergraduate Students - Each summer the Tyson Undergraduate Fellows Program provides research experiences for undergraduate students in ecology and related environmental sciences. Although we prioritize providing research opportunities for Washington University students, outstanding students from other universities are welcome to apply.
High School Students - Pre-college students may work alongside Tyson researchers through the Tyson Environmental Research Fellowships (TERF) Program To be selected for participation in TERF, high school students must have previously participated in the Shaw Institute for Field Training (SIFT) Program at Shaw Nature Reserve.
