The physical facilities include a central administrative office with a lecture room, graduate student offices, computer lab and kitchen. Water, electricity, telephone and email are available. The Laboratory building houses ample space for analyzing data, sorting samples, microscopic work and other general laboratory activities. The site also has 52 former ammunition bunkers which have been converted for storage and research use.
Tyson has a telescope and observatory managed by the Washington University Physics Department.
